When the latest generation of BMW 5-Series came out (G30 / F90) I was a bit disappointed. Design or to be more specific – light looked a bit boring and bland – to my eye the car didn’t look good. It wasn’t ugly, but it was disappointing to look at for sure, especially since I’m such a fan of the M5 due to its amazing performance and technology.
I was eager to BMW to release facelifted version hoping they would fix the issues. And they kinda have! Today they revealed the facelift of G30 and it looks a lot better – but not as good as it might have been.
I like the new headlights – not quite love them but it’s improvement to my eye for sure. I’m a bit disappointed with taillights though – they don’t look as good and seem like a missed opportunity.
Only facelift of regular 5-series has been revealed – we have to wait a bit more for M5 F90 facelift. However it probably won’t look much different other than more aggressive ///M body panels and other ///M parts found in current M5.

It also gets updated interior – 10.25 inch infotainment screen (12.3 inch optional), BMW OS7, new sports steering wheel, M multi-function seats (optional), Sensatec perforated seat covers (optional), improved driver assistance systems and other features
