Alpina has revealed their latest model 2021 Alpina XB7 which is based on BMW X7 M50i. It uses 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine found in BMW X7 M50i that has been upgraded and produces 613 bhp and 800 Nm torque (90 bhp and 50 Nm more than BMW X7 M50i).
Alpina XB7 does 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4 seconds flat and completes quarter mile in 12.6 seconds – significantly faster than BMW X7 M50i, currently the most powerful and fastest variant of BMW X7. It also has a top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph) – which is electronically limited meaning it might have potential to go over 300 km/h derestricted.
Pretty impressive figures considering Alpina BX7 weighs 2,658 kilograms (5,680 pounds).
Eight-speed ZF automatic transmission has also been upgraded to handle the extra power. It also has upgraded dampers, anti-roll bars, rear bushings rear-wheel steering and LSD for improved handling.
