Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
Aston Martin V12 Vantage S was introduced in 2013 as a sportier version of regular V12 Vantage which was introduced in 2009. V12 Vantage was built along side V8 Vantage which had been in production since 2005.
To say the least, Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is quite a special car. Its 5.9 liter V12 AM28 engine outputs 573 horsepower and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque.
It does 0-100 km/h in 4 seconds flat, which is decent but not as impressive as some of the other cars with similar power. The limiting factor here is grip. Being a rear wheel drive car Aston Martin V12 Vantage S can’t quite put all the power to the ground at lower speeds. It’s not however a problem at higher speeds as it does 100 to 200 km/h in 8.5 seconds which is pretty impressive. To put things in perspective DB11 V8, a newer model from Aston Martin, does 100-200 km/h in 8.6 seconds. Granted, V12 version of DB11 is faster, doing 100-200 km/h in 8.2 seconds.
What’s perhaps particularly impressive about Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is its top speed – 330 km/h or 205 mph. Some modern supercars can’t even go that fast while Aston is a grand tourer.
Despite being grand tourer V12 Vantage S performs on track too. It lapped Nurburgring’s Nordschleife track faster than Porsche 911 GT3 996.2 and Ferrari F430 as well Hockenheim Short faster than Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago and Lamborghini Gallardo SE.
